Moretti Neil Memorial Target of £1,875 Achieved

As all of us connected with the Beehive are sadly aware, just before lockdown we lost one of our special friends Neil Filer. He was affectionately known as 'Moretti Neil' due to his love for the famous Italian Beer.

Neil was the kindest of people who was always looking to help others. He was the local 'handyman' who could turn his hand to almost any job and his loss is sadly felt by all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In memory of Moretti Neil the 'Hive hosted a memorial day for Neil on Sunday 30th August 2020. The intention was to continue the spirit of Neil by fundraising to buy and fit a defibrilator here at the Beehive to serve the local community and act as a permanent legacy to Neil.

Due to unbelievable generosity by our fantastic customers and a number of local businesses, both by donations in the pub, and on the dedicated Just Giving page we are proud to announce that we have hit the target of £1,875 and that the defibrilator is now on order and will provide a life saving resource to the local community
